Hill Country Revival

Hill Country Revival incorporates the sounds of Southern Rock into the punch of Texas Country. Their sound is unique but if you enjoy Whiskey Meyers, Alabama, or Josh Abbott Band, you are probably going to enjoy Hill Country Revival.

Their Facebook biography attributes Waylon Jennings, Lynard Skynard, and Tyler Childers as having heavy influences on the band. They also nod to past and present influences by saying, “the band pays respect to the sounds of the past and the present.”

Hill Country Revival has a small, dedicated fan base. With only 1,567 followers on Instagram and 2,550 Facebook likes, they acquire an astonishing 23,038 monthly listeners on Spotify. Their single “Hundred Dollar Bill” has over 518,000 plays on Spotify alone.

They have released five singles, the first in 2017, “That’s What I Think Too” and four others in 2020. Hopefully, there will be much more to come from the five-piece band soon. They are currently hitting the tour scene hard, their upcoming shows can be found here.

Last year in 2020 Hill Country Revival was awarded 3rd place for “Emerging Band” from Texas Internet Radio Music Chart. An awesome achievement, showing the promise that the band holds musically to make it to a national level.

Hill Country Revival has a variety of music videos posted on their YouTube page. Whiskey Running has over 8,000 views. This video captures the essence of the band at their finest, with clips of them playing and a storyline made visual through the lyrics of the song. The song is mellow but catchy and one that you will want to play again.

Since Hill Country Revival has not made the leap into their own website yet, their profile on Reverb Nation is another great wealth of information. With their music, videos, and tour dates posted there it’s a great place to get the most up-to-date information about the band.

They have even been ranked number three in the San Antonio, Texas music charts on Reverb Nation. A fun page where you can check out other musical acts in the area and listen to their music.
