18-year-old Cole Barnhill is rising quickly from the depths of the Texas country music scene. A Lubbock native he call his music, “Texas Country with an edge,” according to his biography on outhousetickets.com. His style is influenced by legends like Merle Haggard and Guns N’ Roses.

Cole is so new to the scene, he doesn’t even have a website yet. Utilizing his presence on social media and Spotify is how he is currently announcing his tour dates and current information. In his breakout year he has been able to play with some very notable artists such as Gary Allen in August and is headed out on tour with Pecos & The Rooftops with dates scheduled in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, North and South Carolina.
Cole has gained quite a following on Spotify with over 45,000 monthly listeners and each of his top three songs with over 100,000 plays. When considering Cole only has 594 facebook likes, 2,168 Instagram followers, and 230 Twitter followers, this is a massive contrast.

His hit song, “Don’t Even Say Bye” has even hit 10,000 plays on Youtube. The song is just an album version and Cole has not posted any videos of him actually playing yet. If you haven’t listend to “Don’t Even Say Bye” it is a must listen with rocking tune and fuck you attitude. The song will make anyone’s energy level rise.
Cole released his newest song, “Cocaine and Caffeine” that came out on October 5th. This downtempo song is Cole’s rawest version of himself to date. As he speaks of drugs and trying to get to his mind into an altered state, the lyrics are subtle but create a familiar feeling of riding highs and hitting low lows.
