Jarrod Morris sings of the everyday antics of western lifestyle and listeners cannot get enough. With lyrics so subtle and metaphor so deep Jarrod is quite the creative songwriter. Songs like “Coyote” entice the listener in with melodic instrumentalism and storytelling so deep it could be from a book.

Jarrod hails from Decatur, Texas a small town outside of Fort Worth. His first full length album, “West of East” caught lots of traction after its release in 2019. His hit song “Coyote” from the record has grossed 2 million plays on Spotify alone. He has been hitting the concert scene hard, even branching out of the great state of Texas. Jarrod maintains his own farrier business on top of his music career and calls himself a “horseshoer by day and a singer/songwriter by night,” according to the American Farriers Journal. He loves his blue collar job shoeing horses, it has give him a flexible schedule and the ability to do what he wants with his music. He calls horseshoeing very humbling and sites it as an inspiration for several of his songs, Jarrod plans to keep doing it for as long as he can.

In an interview with Thomas Mooney on his podcast New Slang, Jarrod speaks to being raised in a family that comes centrally from traditional, white-collar backgrounds. He is the first in his family to take a blue-collar job but this aspect of Jarrod’s life has made him all the more relatable to people from all backgrounds.
Jarrod is truly authentic and relatable. With songs like, “Losing Streak” and “Pack A Day,” that carry upbeat rhythms and a flare of bluegrass, the songs are relatable to anyone on any given day. His music is downright fun to listen to. Jarrod will have your foot stompin’ in no time.
